Cooking lessons: a journey in the characteristic cuisine of Norcia and Umbria

The name of Norcia in the world is often also linked to the gastronomy universe.

This fame stems both from the great centuries-old traditions of this area and from the exceptional basket of products that it offers: black truffles, salami, ham, cheese, lentils, spelt, field peas (Pisum arvense), brown trout, and fresh meat of pigs, Chianina cattle and wild boars, berry fruits and mushrooms

Tradition, variety and excellence of production have made Norcia one of the capitals of Italian astronomy. After a trip to Norcia, you must necessarily have become better “gastronauts”!

During cooking lessons our chefs will help you discover new recipes, new techniques of preparation and attractive ideas for presenting dishes, both traditional and innovative, as well as giving you advice for your purchases. Your cooking lesson can be combined with visits to some outstanding local producers, both in Norcia and in surrounding areas. At distances about 45 minutes away it is possible to visit quality wine cellars and olive oil mills. Drivers, guides, mini-buses and cars are available, always on advance request, for your trips.
